With a group of 180 friends and family, Becca and John shared their romantic day amidst the historic and outstanding architecture of San Francisco’s City Hall. Surrounded by hues of violet, purple and lavender, which were this wedding seasons most popular colors here at Mandy Scott Events, Becca and John incorporated a “Rock On” theme into their September wedding.
The bridal party bouquets included arrangements of vanda orchids, dusty miller foliage, purple calla lilies and spider mums. Purple uplighting, purple draping and lilac aisle arrangements created a romantic mood in which Becca and John stood atop the City Hall stairs with their bridal party cascading down the granite steps. While family and friends watched from below, the bride and groom made sure to keep their guests on their toes. The groom played a guitar solo of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” as the bridal party rocked on down the aisle; the ceremony offered its own rich character performed by a California Supreme Court judge and incorporating small touches of Jewish culture.
The “Rock On” and purple themes were played out throughout the wedding. Instead of a traditional guest book, Becca and John had guests sign electric guitars with well wishes. The favors were chocolate guitars, purple signature cocktails, amenity baskets made from pressed vinyl records, purple candy bar. It was such a pleasure to work with these two families creating such a unique wedding experience for themselves and their guests.
